We are Hiring Program Coordinators and Security Officer
Akukulu Family is seeking dedicated Support Staff, including Program Coordinators and Security Officers, to assist in our Life Youth Mentorship & Tutoring program. These roles are crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our programs while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all.
Minimum Requirements
- Fingerprints and Background Check
- Age Should Be 19 & Above
- High School Completed
- Security Officer Training Preferred
Security officers are responsible for the safety of people and property, and are often the first line of defense against unwanted individuals and groupsdisturbing the peace and security near the premises . Their duties include:
- Patrolling Regularly: inspecting and patrolling premises, including land, buildings, equipment, and vehicles
- Monitoring: Monitoring surveillance equipment and alarm systems, and analyzing CCTV camera footage
- Securing: Securing entrances, exits, doors, and windows, and guarding valuables in secure areas
- Screening: Screening students, parents, guests and employees, and checking and verifying entry passes
- Responding: Responding to alarms and emergencies in a timely manner, and engaging with offenders who try to breach a secured area and call the local police force – 911
- Reporting: Reporting any suspicious behaviors and happenings, and maintaining accurate and detailed incident reports to the manager or supervisor
- Assisting: Providing assistance to people in need, and escorting visitors around the premises
- Following procedures: Following procedures for various initiatives, such as fire prevention and accident investigations
- Traffic control around the parking lot & the building
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in security or related field.
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- Commitment to creating a secure and supportive environment for youth.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.
- Passion for youth development and community engagement.
What We Offer:
- W-2 Per Diem Position
- Salary Range : $23-$28 / Hour
- Schedule: Friday 5:00PM to 8:00PM
- Flexible Schedule: Weekdays, Weekends, Evenings
