I have known Elilta for a little over a year but within that short period of time she has left a positive mark on me. ዶክተር እልልታ ረጋሳ እዚህ በሰሜን አሜሪካ በመልካም ስብእናቸው፣ በቅን አሳቢነታቸው፣ በበጎ ስራቸው እና በኢትዮጵያዊነታቸው ከማውቃቸው ጥቂት ሰዎች አንዷ ነች። ምንም እንኳ ዶክተር እልልታ ስራዋ አንቱ ቢያሰኛትም ከአለን ቅርበትና የረጅም ጊዜ ወዳጅነት አንቺ እያልኩ እንድገልጽ ይፈቀድልኝ። ከዶክተር እልልታ ጋር በተለያዩ መድረኮች ላይ በጋራ የመስራት እድሉን አግኝቻለሁ። በዋሽንግተን ዲሲና አካባቢው በሚገኙ ኢትዮጵያዊያንና ትውልደ ኢትዮጵያዊያን ህጻናትና ታዳጊ ወጣቶች ላይ ትኩረት በመስጠት ልጆቻችን ታሪካቸውን እና ኢትዮጵያዊ ባህላቸውን ይዘው በመልካም ስነምግባር እንዲያድጉ ከአቢያተ ክርስትያኖችና መሰል ድርጅቶች ጋር አብሮ በመስራት ለመልካም ስራ የምትተጋ እህታችን ነች ። የመልካም ልጆች አስተዳደግን በተመለከተ ከኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ እምነት አስተምሮ እና ከተለያዩ ታማኝ ምንጮች ያገኘችውን እውቀት እንዲሁም የልጆች እናት እንደመሆኗ ከግል ተሞክሮ በመነሳት እጅግ ጠቃሚ ትምህርቶችንና ምክሮችን ለማህበረሰባችን በማካፈል ትታወቃለች ። ከአላት ጥልቅ ግንዛቤም የተነሳ በወላጆችም ላይ ብዙ መሰራት እንዳለበት በማመን በተለያዩ ጊዜያት ክወላጆች ጋር በመገናኘት ስትማማር ቆይታለች ። በተለይ የውጪውን አለም ጎጂ ባህልን ለሚያራምዱ ታዳጊ ወጣቶችና ወላጆች እኛ ኢትዮጲያዊያን ራሳችንን ሆነን ራሳችንን መስለን ራሳችንን መግለፅ ይኖርብናል ብላ አበክራ ታስተምራለች ። ዶክተር እልልታ በኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋህዶ ቤተ ክርስትያን ህልውና የማትደራደር እህት ነች ። በእምነቷ ላይ የሚነሱትን በመቃወም በኢትዮጵያ ሆነ በዚሁ በአለንበት አገር የሚገኙትን ቤተ ክርስትያናት፣ አድባራትና ገዳማት በመርዳት እንዲሁም እድሳት የሚያስፈልጋቸውን የገጠር ቤተ ክርስትያናትና ገዳማት እንዲታደሱ በመርዳትና ሃላፊነት ወስዳ በማስተባበር ጉልህ ሚና እየተጫወተች ይገኛል። በተጨማሪም በአገራችን ኢትዮጵያ በሰው ሰራሽና በተፈጥሮ አደጋዎች ለተፈናቀሉ ወገኖቻችን በፍጹም ኢዮጵያዊነት ፈጥኖ በመድረስና በማስተባበር ይህ ነው የማይባል አስተዋጾኦ እያደረገች ትገኛለች ። ዶክተር እልልታ ረጋሳ ማህበረሰባችንን ለማስተማር ከወንድምና እህቶች ጋር በመሆን በተለያዩ የመገናኛ ዘዴዎች ጽሁፎችና አነቃቂ ንግግሮችን በማድረግ በጎ ስራዋንና ኢትዮጵያዊነቷን ያስመሰከረች እህት ነች ። አቶ እንዳለ ወልደሰንበት

I met Dr. Elilta in Sunday School at an Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. Since that day not only has she been a good friend to me, but she is also a good counselor to anyone who needs it. On top of that, she is truly kind and will help and support anyone who needs it. She is also the leader of a program called ENAT. The program has helped many families by teaching them how to raise their kids and build a good family. The program "Sil Ethiopia Zem Anelem" helped lots of families, especially in Ethiopia. She spent lots of her time to support our community. She is a big part of our Ethiopian Community and our Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. We still need Dr. Elilta's support. We all wanted to help our community, but few made it happen. Elilta is one of the few community service workers in DMV area. Community service workers genuinely care for others. I have known Dr. Elilta for many years for her dedication and hard work in her professional, social and spiritual life. She has been a program director of our church's Sunday School with more than two hundred members for ---- many years. On this role, Dr. Elilta has steered the program towards more fulfilling spiritual life and volunteer initiatives by working closely with the clergy and the church board. For the past four years I have been working closely with her in the Tsireha Tsion Kidist Mariam Gedam project with main goal to build a learning center up to a university level for the younger generation in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia.
